1.I don’t hate Facebook but I don’t really use it too. The only time I use it is to message my cousins in Mexico or look at memes when I’m bored. 2. I usually use instagram or snapchat. I use those two because that’s where I could talk to most of my friends and people post more stuff on those social media. 3. I’m not really concern because I don’t really post anything beside share memes on Facebook but beside that I don’t do anything. Also the people I message they’re mostly all from school and that I’m close with. So theirs nothing that worries me when I’m using it.

         The line of “So we beat on, boats against the current, borne ceaselessly into the past” define The Great Gatsby because of how hard some worked to get somewhere in life. So in order to keep on going and moving forward,they had to keep on trying. In the Great Gatsby I think Gatsby did more than the others. But at the end he pretty much did it all for nothing. But the only person who appreciated all his work was his friend Nick. But I think what the last line was trying to say was no matter how much you do something the past could still bring you back to nothing.            It defines The Great Gatsby   because in the end up of the book Gatsby dies. It wasn’t what he did it because someone killed him for something that happened in the past. So it’s like if he got on the boat and kept going until he get where he want to go in life. Meaning no matter how tired he gets or how hard it gets he is willing to keep going...

If it wasn’t for Martin Luther king jr my family wouldn’t be able to do or be anywhere we want. Because of what he did for us made a big difference in life. And with out his help we would’ve been struggling.

                     How Would I Achieve my Goal ?          Out of all the jobs and majors there are I want to be a cosmetology. I’ve been wanting to be this since junior high. In order to get there there’s some little step I could do now. Like I could always start doing people’s make-up at home for free. Also I should start asking people how to do this or that. It’s a good start now that I’m in high school and there’s pretty much nothing to do but do that at home.           I feel like doing make-up is my passion. I could do it all day and not get tired of it. And the good thing is that the more I do the more I’m getting better at it. I know becoming one of the best would be hard, but I’ll be aiming for that. And to become one of the best there’s classes I could take after high school. Even if I have to pay because at the end it would all pay off.     ...

From what I read in the poem I think people didn’t care for others but themselves. So those who had a dream or a goal, some were able to do what they want. While others were stuck or gave up on what they were going for because of the struggle they had to go through. So those who made it were lucky enough because it wasn’t easy for everyone else.

        As I was reading on self-reliance it did help me understand in many ways. The way he explained it was kind of confusing, but I know what he meant. So I’ll be writing his tone. The diction the author use. Also the way the author used syntax.          The author tone toward what he wrote was, he was confused of everything. He didn’t really get the facts why people care what others think. Not just other people he would care himself, so he tried to help people understand everything and himself as well. The author wrote this story so people could understand, its not always good to try to blend in with others.       But the author chose the right diction to try to explain it all. He tried to describe everything that was going on. he used big words for an example. He didn’t use them to be fancy or to look smart. But he used them to show people he know what he’s talking about.
